Rooflines Shaped by a Courthouse Square Older Than Fishers Itself
Noblesville was platted in 1823, nearly fifty years before Fishers existed as a town, and the roofline variety around its Hamilton County Courthouse Square — anchored by a courthouse completed in 1879 in Second Empire style — reflects generations of separate construction, unlike Fishers' more uniform subdivision rooflines. Storm exposure and mature tree canopy around the historic square differ meaningfully from the open sightlines of newer Noblesville growth further out.
More Roof Planes, More History to Read
Roofing crews working near the square deal with older decking and more roof planes per house than in a typical newer Noblesville or Fishers subdivision; further from downtown, we more often see simple gable and hip roofs installed on a predictable modern schedule.
